Erin M.

Erin, our President and CEO since October 2022, has more than 25 years in the financial services industry. Her career began as a teller, evolving into a passion for serving credit union members. Erin, a Lino Lakes native, enjoys outdoor activities with her family, embodying leadership and commitment to community well-being.

 

Tanya B.

Tanya, our VP of Lending, brings over 28 years of experience in the financial industry, primarily within credit unions. With a passion for helping others, Tanya seeks to extend her impact within the credit union movement. A Minnesota native, she enjoys biking, hiking, and all things outdoors. Tanya dreams of traveling to Italy, Ireland, and Greece.

 

Dan P.

Dan, our Vice President of IT and Operations, has been with the credit union since 1999, spearheading technology solutions to enhance member and staff experiences. An avid outdoorsman from Grand Rapids, MN, Dan enjoys golfing, fishing, and coaching baseball, driven by a continuous pursuit of knowledge and efficiency.

 

Chris S.

Chris, our Controller, has been a pillar at SMWFCU for 22 years. His expertise spans investing, financial reporting, and asset management. Chris enjoys family time, coaching sports, and aims to further his knowledge in all his roles, ensuring financial stability and growth for SMWFCU.

 

Matt B.

Matt, Branch Manager of Lino Lakes, has dedicated over 8 years to SMWFCU, focusing on providing excellent member service. Originally from Nebraska, Matt's journey through finance and law led him to his current role. An active participant in his children's sporting activities, Matt enjoys family vacations and coaching, embodying the spirit of community and leadership.

 

Tou T.

Tou, brings a strong background in member service, relationship building, and helping individuals and families reach their financial goals. As the new leader of our Maplewood branch, he is excited to support his team and continue SMW’s commitment to exceptional service for our members and community. We’re thrilled to have Tou on the SMW team and look forward to the experience, leadership, and dedication he brings!

 

Keila S.

Keila, our Executive Assistant, has navigated various departments since joining SMWFCU in 2018. Her journey from teller to accounting showcases her passion for helping and guiding others. Keila enjoys home projects, bonfires, and reading, bringing warmth and dedication to her role and our members.

 

Jared S.

Jared, a former realtor turned Universal Banker, is on a mission to become a Loan Officer and eventually a Branch Manager at SMW Financial Credit Union. With 10 years in real estate and a knack for customer service, Jared's journey from real estate to banking felt like a natural progression. He's a Salt Lake City native who enjoys karaoke and dreams of visiting Prague and Spain. Jared looks forward to seeing his kids go to college and retiring to the beach.

 

Dia X.

Dia, our newest Universal Banker, brings a contagious positive attitude, a passion for learning, and a strong drive to continue developing her banking skills. We have no doubt that her optimism, professionalism, and eagerness to grow will make her an outstanding addition to the Maplewood branch and the SMW Financial Credit Union team.

Janice, a Universal Banker, has a passion for providing exceptional service, building relationships, and creating a positive experience for everyone she works with.

 

Lauren W.

Lauren, a Universal Banker since May 2023, brings nine years of banking experience to SMWFCU. She is committed to providing outstanding customer service and continuing her professional growth. Lauren enjoys true crime documentaries and spending quality time with her family, demonstrating her dedication to both her work and home life.

 

Mar Ry S.

Mar, a Universal Banker, joined SMW after working as a cashier at Target and at a nursing home in Hastings. She is excited to grow her skills in the financial industry, meet new people, and get to know the SMW team and members. Outside of work, Mar Ry enjoys staying active with Pilates, yoga, lifting, and trips to the gym, as well as hiking, picnics, and spending time outdoors. Fall is her favorite season, and she loves cozy days at home with her cats, comfort food, and a good crime show!

 

Sheila P.

Sheila, an Operations Administrative Assistant, excels in diverse roles at SMWFCU, from compliance to member assistance. With 24 years in banking, Sheila enjoys lake time and community involvement, reflecting her dedication to member service and team collaboration.

 

Alex P.

Alex, one of our Accounting Specialists, joined SMW after working in several different industries and is excited to begin a new chapter in the financial industry. A lifelong Minnesotan, Alex is a proud Vikings fan who enjoys football, comedy, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He is excited to be part of the SMW team and looks forward to meeting our members and getting to know his new coworkers!

 

Cole A.

Cole, an Accounting Specialist, was born and raised in Stillwater before moving to Texas at 13, where he spent much of his life. With four years of experience in the accounting industry, Cole is excited to return to the MSP area and begin this new chapter with SMW.
